Automatic Transmission Repair Delaware CountyPennsylvania Charlie's Transmission welcomes you to our Delaware County automatic transmission repair shop website. Each transmission technician at our automatic transmission repair shop in Delaware County is highly qualified and ready to deliver their expert automotive transmission repair technician knowledge & skills for your every automatic transmission repair need.

We at Charlie's Transmission Service are proud to be one of the few remaining transmission repair facilities in our immediate area. Over the years, the other shops closed their doors because of the new technology that became our modern transmissions. The need for more, expensive tools, and highly trained technicians became too much, and they faded away. With the introduction of the front wheel drive transaxles, the electronically computer controlled transmissions , and the growing popularity of the foreign car, things became too complicated, too fast. The writing was on the wall, this is the way of the future, either get on board, or be left behind. We haven't looked back since. We have the tools and skills needed for the complex transmissions of today. We stay educated about the new technology for the car on the showroom floor, and also, with over 50 years combined experience in transmission repair, we can fix the cars of yesteryear as well.We also diagnose and repair electrical problems and driveability problems as well. Driveability ? What exactly does that mean? Simple, driveability is the term used for the proper operation of your vehicle. Example, if your car feels like it's over-revving or you have a noise or vibration, they are driveability concerns. Anything that seems out of the ordinary (noises- moans, groans, squeaks, squawks, hums , bangs, vibrations, loss of power, smoke, and warning lights) WHEW!!! That's alot of stuff, all those things are driveability concerns and should be checked out. If you aren't sure what the problem may be with your car, give us a call or stop by for an accurate diagnosis. If you would like to drop off your vehicle after business hours, we simply ask that you park and lock your vehicle on our lot, preferably somewhere out front, put your keys in an envelope with your contact information and brief description of the problem/work you would like done and any other issues we should know about (window doesn't roll down, alarm functions, door doesn't lock, etc) , and drop the envelope through the mail flap on our garage door. That's it! It would also help if your appointment is made in advance, if at all possible, so we can be expecting your vehicle and have it scheduled for that particular day.

Our automatic transmission shop is proud to be affiliated with the non-profit organization known as the Automatic Transmission Rebuilder Association (ATRA). As an ATRA member our automatic transmission repair shop adheres to the service and repair definitions which are a part of the ATRA bylaws and code of ethics.

Charlie's Transmission pledges to all of our customers that we will not remove a transmission from a vehicle in order to complete a repair unless absolutely necessary. Additionally our shop promises to diagnose transmission problems for all of our local and surrounding area customers in an honest and expert manner. Our shop strives to provide prompt and courteous service to all who visit our automotive transmission repair facility in the hope that you will come back to us for all of your automotive automatic transmission repair needs.
